Karmazin: We voted for a bloc with the PR…

The Chairman will be elected on Thursday. In private talks the MPs incline for candidature of Lytvyn. If positions of the PR, BYuT and CPU are quite distinct, it has been still unknown whether Lytvyn's candidature will be supported by OU-PSD. It has been still unknown even after an interview of Yuriy Karmazin.

- Yuriy Anatoliyovych, who of probable candidates for the position of Chairman can be supported by OU-PSD?

- The faction did not make a decision concerning certain candidacy. We decided to hold consultations. Naturally, we would like our future speaker to be from the democratic camp. But candidacy is not important, really critical matter is crisis management program of Chairman.

 - And why did not your faction make a final decision of support Plyushch, Lytvyn or Lavrynovych?

-We have to propose a candidacythat will be able to collect 72 votes. We have not found such a candidacy. The day before the meeting candidacyof V.Kyrylenko was proposed by Borys Tarassyuk, as for me, I proposed candidacyof Volodymyr Moysyk.

Vyacheslav Kyrylenko recalled his candidature himself. He did not explain why he did it, maybe he understood that he would never have 72 votes/ as for candidature of Ivan Plyushch proposed by the United Center, there was only one representative of their faction at the meeting.

- Roman Zvarych told yesterday about refusal of Volodymyr Lytvyn to accept the position of the Speaker. What do you know about it?

- I have not yet seen an official refusal of Volodymyr Lytvyn. But I do not see him to be going to sign the Coalitional agreement too. If such refusal took place, it had to be connected with his knowledge that he can never collect the necessary amount of votes. We respect Volodymyr Lytvyn deeply, I am ready to vote for him. But the words "Candidature is not important, really critical matter is crisis management program of Chairman" were pronounced just by him.

- Deputy President of the PR's faction Oleksandr Yefremov stated that if the Chairman were not elected on Thursday, they will put a question of dismissal of the Government. Will OU-PSD support the "Regions" in it?

- I can tell you that at the meeting we voted for a proposition of a bloc with the Party of Region, and this proposition collected 0 votes.

As for Coalition with BYuT and Lytvyn Bloc, number of votes was also insufficient. I think that the statement of Yefremov that if the Chairman were not elected on Thursday, they will put a question of dismissal of the Government is aimed only to the Law on opposition, when the Chairman of the VRU must be from opposition. I think that such statements of the PR push factions of the former Coalition to such a decision.

- Did OU-PSD make a decision about transfer to opposition? Can you predict probable format of the Coalition?

- We have not yet make a decision about transfer to opposition. And it is very difficult to predict future format of the Coalition because the president plays a non-constructive role in this process. If his role were a constructive one, the Coalition should be formed within 20 minutes.

On November 23 will be a year of oath of MPs. After November 24 the President has all grounds and legal rights to dissolve the Parliament. It is like a real war against native people, but he will have all legal grounds.

That is why Kyrylenko explained to all members of the faction that the President did not stand for any coalition. In other words, the President is satisfied with this situation when we have no capable Parliament.

During several days of work of the VRU without Chairman we lost half million dollars.

- Why?

- Because complex crisis management measures can not be accepted, while the Secretariat of the President is fighting against its own people and Government.

- Have you your own way of management of this political crisis of power?

- It is very easy, indeed. There are no political, moral or ethic obstacles for it between OU, BYuT and Lytvyn Bloc. Coalition of OU-PSD and PR is impossible. It was shown by voting of our faction I told you about. New Coalition is being formed, it is carrying out crisis management bills bearing all the responsibility for it, it is checking out the State Budget etc. Power becomes controllable. it is the only possible opportunity for today.

- Yuriy Anatoliyovych, it is just OU-PSD who withdrew from the Coalition. How can you renew it with BYuT?

- I believe, it is possible. But the good will of the President is necessary, he must think of Ukraine and not about his relationship with the PR. I am anxious about it as it hampers the country to live normally.

As for elections, I take them as a nonsense. But one shouldn't accuse the Parliament of problems. The problems are made by the Secretariat of the President!

Those who wait for elections wait for spring. I am sure that it will be well-timed to hold a referendum about home and external policy conducted by the President.
